Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst II is responsible for analyzing financial data and providing insights to support decision-making and strategic planning within SSI. The position will assess financial performance, create financial models, and make recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. The Financial Analyst will also monitor financial trends, prepare financial reports, and collaborate with others to ensure accurate financial forecasting and budgeting.

Position Requirements:

  1. Establish Standard Costs and Collect Operational Data: Determine the cost of operations by setting standard costs and gathering operational data to facilitate budgeting and decision-making.
  2. Guide Cost Analysis Process: Develop and enforce policies and procedures for cost analysis to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  3. Analyze Financial Performance: Analyze historical and current financial performance data to identify trends, assess performance, and recommend improvements.
  4. Prepare Reports and Projections: Create reports and projections based on financial analyses, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  5. Reconcile Transactions: Compare and correct data to ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting.
  6. Identify Financial Status: Compare actual results with plans and forecasts to evaluate the organization's financial health and performance.
  7. Improve Financial Status: Analyze results, monitor variances, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance financial performance.
  8. Conduct Financial Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts, business plans, and conduct variance analysis to track performance against forecasts.
  9. Assist in Closing Processes: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  10. Prepare Financial Analyses: Conduct in-depth analysis and research on financial and cost-saving performance measures.
  11. Participate in Budget Processes: Contribute to the annual budgeting process and cost-saving initiatives within the organization.
  12. Recommend Actions: Provide recommendations based on data analysis and comparative analyses to improve financial performance.
  13. Develop Predictive Financial Models: Create predictive models to support organizational decision making.
  14. Analyze Processes for Improvement: Identify gaps in processes to enhance profit margins and overall financial performance.
  15. Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.
  16. Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of SSI Technologies, LLC. which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
  17. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, preferred.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office application, required.
  3. Knowledge of US GAAP, required.
  4. Two (2) years of experience to be considered, required.
