Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the administration of policies, procedures, and programs related to all phases of Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains Human Resource Information System database, including the recording of employee personal data, employment information, benefits, performance reviews and terminations.

  • Assists in establishing, implementing, enforcing and reviewing employment policies, procedures and reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and Ace Precision operations.

  • Administers employee benefit plans such as health, dental, Life/AD&D, STD/LTD, and 401k, including enrollments, changes, billings, claims, and acts as liaison between employees and benefit providers.

  • Leads our Wellness Works initiatives.

  • Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department.

  • Maintains employee personnel files ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements of record retention.

  • Acts as liaison to managers regarding HR policies, and a reference source for employees regarding policies and benefits.

  • Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.

  • Assists in employee relations responsibilities including progressive discipline and terminations.

  • Assists with the implementation of company safety programs. Submits Workers' Compensation Claims and tracks OSHA-required data in a timely manner.

  • Remains knowledgeable of ever-changing employment, labor, and wage/hour laws to ensure company compliance (EEO/Title VII, ADA, ADEA, COBRA, FMLA, FLSA, HIPAA, ERISA, OSHA, DOL, etc.) by reading publications, attending seminars, and networking. Maintains minimal company exposure to lawsuits.

  • Assists with employee communication and feedback through such avenues as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee opinion surveys and newsletters.

  • Provides competitive market research data in surveys to aid in establishing pay scales and practices that help recruit and retain our workforce.

  • Assists in the writing and development of employment and benefit related communications.

  • Supports recruiting efforts and the hiring of qualified employees.

  • Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and conformity to Ace Precision Quality System Work Instruction requirements that govern human resource operations.

  • Maintains or exceeds organization standards through organization and planning.

  • Follows and complies with safety rules, regulations, and work instructions.

  • Accurately completes all required documentation.

  • Meets attendance policy requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, two years of Human Resource experience, and/or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of human resource management concepts and theories, leadership skills, computer skills in Microsoft Windows, and specialized human resource information systems are required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization and maintain positive employee/employer relations. Ability to respond to technical inquiries, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts of algebra. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Requires considerable initiative and decision-making judgment.
