Every ten years, to coincide with the United States decennial census, the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC) conducts an origin – destination (OD) travel survey to determine how trips are being made throughout the seven-county southeastern Wisconsin Region. As part of that survey, every transit provider that operates in our Region is participating in this OD survey to determine how their passengers use the service. This position would be to ride the transit services and distribute survey forms to the passengers.
Job Duties:
Interacting with passengers and distributing survey forms on the transit services
Counting and tabulating passengers on each transit run
Maintaining survey equipment
Hours and pay: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays starting September 12th and ending October 26th at the latest with rain out days taken into consideration. (Training is September 6th ½ day in the afternoon) Start and end times of workdays and hours will vary depending on the bus schedule but will be at least 8 hours per day. Equipment, uniforms, and IDs will be provided.
All candidates will meet at SEWPC - W239 N1812 Rockwood Dr, Waukesha, WI 53188 and be escorted from there to that day’s destination. One day in Kenosha, one day in Racine and 4 weeks in Milwaukee. Candidates need to show professionalism and will be working in pairs. Earliest start time will be 4:00 on days where they are capturing AM peak hour to starting at noonish on day’s they are capturing afternoon rush hour and evening routes
This is in the same building as ProHealth Care – entrance is on the left of the building in the corner from the parking lot. Candidates should park in the back of the building.
